By clicking on "Players", a list of all players connected to a particular room will be displayed.
For example, if you are currently in the backgammon room, when you click on players, you will see all of the players who are
connected to backgammon.

To play a game, highlight a player's name, then click "Invite" to
invite him/her to a match. Choose the options you desire, and send out the
invitation. You can send a message with the invitation, if you wish.
You may change your status in the "Player's" room by clicking on the Change
Status button or by right clicking your mouse.

Once you are connected to the "player's room", be sure to view any resumed matches to be played. To avoid being messaged by our "Dropper Stopper", always remember to attempt resuming a match before beginning a new one.
GammonSite
INFO
The "Dropper Stopper" is a feature incorporated here to prevent players from accumulating excessive numbers of resumed matches. When you reach
5 matches to resume, a message will appear when you log onto
GammonSite
informing you that you MUST go to your resume list, choose a match, and resume that game, making your next move. Once you play that one move, you will be permitted to begin new matches with players at
GammonSite. A player will be banned from starting any new matches until that one move is played. However, chatting and cruising options remain available to the player.
In addition, the “dropper stopper” one-move policy may also
be used whenever you log into a game room and have a resumed game in which it is
your move. If you wish to make that one move, simply click on resume, play
your move and the game will then end, for the time being. You’ll return
to the game room lounge, and may begin new games from there.
The developers at
GammonSite
are well aware of the
“dropper” problems that exist in the Internet gaming community. After
much deliberation, the “Dropper Stopper” has been created to discourage players from displaying a “bad-sportsmanship” attitude
and dropping their matches.

Forced Move Rule
1. If you have 5 or more unfinished matches and it is your turn to play, you will not be permitted to start any new games.
2. The green check mark next to your opponent's name indicates that it is your turn to play.
3. You always make one move in such games, whether your opponent is connected or not. |
|
 |
4. In order to be permitted to play a new match, you need to play all "Forced Move" matches.
5. The games "Adjourned" by mutual agreement are excluded from the
"Forced Move" rule.
6. The "Forced Move" rules apply to players with more than 5 unfinished matches.
"Adjourned matches" do not affect the "Forced Move" rule. |
GammonSite
INFO
You are always permitted to resume any match,
regardless of the "Forced Move" rule. |

Match Controls offers you an easy and effective way to resolve unfinished matches by reaching an agreement with your
opponent. This can be accomplished by going to your "Resume" button and clicking on the
"Match Controls" button. |
You will see the following choices:
1. "Request Cancel" will send a request to your opponent asking to cancel the match. If
your opponent accepts, the match is deleted.
2. "Request Adjournment" will send a request to your opponent asking that the match be finished
leisurely without any "Forced Move" rules.
3."Claim Win" asks your opponent to acknowledge your win of the game.
4. "Ask Draw" (in some games) will ask your opponent to accept your draw.
5. "Resign the Match" will immediately end the match, resulting in a loss for you.
